Principal Welcome

Kia ora and welcome to Knapdale School's webpage.

Knapdale is a neat wee school situated in Eastern Southland, about 10 minutes north of Gore. We are lucky to be close to town but have a real rural feel to everything that we do. We have been well supported in our community for the last 140 years. We have a school pool that the community can use and make the most of the Knapdale Hall just around the corner too.

We are a full primary (Year 0-8) with a wide catchment and our students come to school via bus.

We have a wonderfully supportive community and our school whanau who are committed to ensuring that we are well equipped for quality teaching and learning.

We want our learners to leave Knapdale proud life-long learners who show respect, responsibility and resilience in all of the choices and decisions that they make. This is based around our school values.

We have Google Apps for Education at our school and all students have their own email and have access to technology in the classroom. Teaching them about their digital footprint is an important aspect of their learning in this day and age.
